The grapes for this Petite Sirah are sourced from one very small vineyard here in Lodi owned by Barbara Huecksteadt. Siting in deep sandy soils, the vines are regularly water stressed and yield beautifully intense fruit.

Harvested late in the season at almost 28º brix and aged in medium plus American Oak barrels for 14 months. Being harvested later in the season, yielded an extremely rich wine with fully ripe fat tannins.
On the nose, ripe black fruits and subtle underlying exotic spices, on your first sip, mouth enveloping tannins and a beautiful, lingering round mouth feel finishing in dark chocolates, heavy toasted coconut and caramel.
