The grapes for this Petite Sirah are sourced from one very small vineyard here in Lodi, owned by Barbara Huecksteadt. Sitting in deep, sandy soils, the vines are regularly water stressed and yield a beautifully intense fruit.
Bold aromas of blueberry, sugarplum and lavender are complimented by spicy nutmeg and maple bacon. This wine is equally as intense on the palate, with broad, grippy tannins and flavors of cocoa, brambly blackberry & fig, finishing with lively acidity, candied licorice and spice.
