2020 Montepulciano

If you're a fan of our Montepulciano, you're going to absolutely LOVE this wine. So savory and succulent, the robust tannins have softened during it's 32 months in barrel yielding a plush- silky wine that is unmistakably Monte.

Complex aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and cherry cola blend with notes of black licorice, white pepper, and hints of leather. On the palate, medium tannins and a bright acidity pair with flavors of tart cranberry, strawberry rhubarb pie, and a slight herbaceousness, leading to bold finish.

The vineyard sits due east of our winery in Lockeford. This area is full of rolling hills and is the Clements Hills sub-AVA of the Lodi Appellation. The vines in this area yield both intense fruit and robust, bold tannins.
