If you visited our Lockeford tasting room in November and December, you may have had the chance to sample this amazing blend right from the barrel.
Named Opposites Attract because of the unusual varietals: Teroldego & Alicante Bouschet, these two would typically never make it into the bottle together, but when we tried them out, it was magic! Deeply aromatic, super dark in the glass and absolute velvet on the palate. The deep color tricks you into thinking this is going to be a big tannic wine and while it is big and has plenty of tannin, they sit on the palate so smoothly.
Its perhaps one of the most integrated blends we've made and incredibly limited, after futures just over 20 cases made it out for sale. If you purchased futures, come pick them up anytime - if you didn't get in on the futures, you can still taste (and buy!) this amazing blend.
Through the month of May we'll be donating $5 from every bottle sold to Hard Luck Animal Welfare Advocates, a unique organization providing medical, socialization and rehoming support services to the Stockton/San Joaquin County SPCA which is in dire need and unfortunately one of the largest in California.
