This release marks the 12th vintage working with this Amador County vineyard and the Spencer family. The Spencer vineyard is 43-acres nestled in the Jackson Valley at the western edge of Amador County. The mix of Tempranillo clones in the vineyard surpasses most other fields that Jeremy has worked with, resulting in a wine that is worth the wait.
The 2023 Tempranillo was handed gently in the cellar with gentle punch downs in the bins so we did not extract harsh tannins but were still able to coax a deeply colored and aromatic wine. It was then aged 16 months in American Oak.
Aged in American oak for 16 months, this wine is rich in dark fruit and aromatics!
