Our story
Jeremy and Choral, since 2010.
After a decade running a wine label design studio, Jeremy and his wife Choral built a winery of their own from the ground up, to be closer to the seasons and to the wine itself.
A humble beginning
Jeremy started in the wine industry at 20 and hasn't taken a break since. He began as a cellar rat, moved into the lab, then into sales and marketing. That education led him to start businesses that wineries needed, mostly designing and promoting wine labels.
After a decade running a design studio, the pull back to making wine couldn't be ignored. With Choral beside him, Jeremy started Jeremy Wine Co. Every job he'd held, from cellar work to winemaking to sales, came full circle as the two of them did all of it for their tiny company.
They no longer have to fill every role, but the spirit hasn't changed. Our tasting rooms are known for full-flavored, balanced wines and warm hospitality, where nobody needs to know anything about wine to feel welcome.

The winery
Where the creative work happens
Jeremy and the cellar team decide each grape's path from vineyard to bottle. Harvest dates come from sugar and acid numbers, and from tasting the fruit. Oak is chosen for balance, and every wine's time in barrel is reviewed each quarter until bottling day.
The grapes we work with follow Jeremy's curiosity, so a typical harvest brings in more than 20 varieties. Choral and Jeremy love the wines of Italy, and our Barbera and Sangiovese have a devoted following. Our own vineyard grows enough Zinfandel to keep every Lodi fan happy, and Jeremy has a knack for smooth, balanced blends that please a crowd.
Once the fruit arrives, we become its caretakers: gentle destemming, fermentation, then a long wait while the wines rest in barrel. We taste as we go, looking for the moment each wine shows its best. That's when we bottle it.
Choral's Vineyard
Old vines, a few steps from the barrel room
Our estate vineyard in Lockeford grows Zinfandel planted around 1925. It's where our old vine Zinfandel comes from, and it surrounds the Lockeford winery where you can taste it.
